Carpe Diem
We have customers who are post-cancer survivors that are now very strict with their diets, and attribute their healthy status DIRECTLY to their clean eating. They are stocking up on this superfood availability, because we are 1. local, 2. no-pesticides, 3. grow with organic practices, 4. fruit is ridiculously easy to pick. 5. Abundant. Why not eat healthy if you can? The time to begin recognizing the importance of a healthy diet is now.
These blueberries are FUN to pick, (see photos) and are SO abundant this year, you probably can’t accurately imagine it. You have to see it, even video doesn’t do it justice. This makes it easy here for you to provide fresh, antioxidant rich, and nutritious “super-fruit” for your family – from a local farm. Farm to table distance (or time from harvest to consumption) can be measured in “minutes” when you pick here at RabbitEye farm, (or “seconds” if you eat them off the bush.) In grocery stores, this farm to table distance can be huge. Some produce from farm to table takes weeks… yes, measured in weeks! Nutritional value continually decreases the longer the food takes to get from the farm to your table.
Great Gift
So, come and get your blueberries, and while you are at it, they make a GREAT GIFT. How cool it is to receive a gift that’s delicious, nutritious, and beautiful all at the same time. If you have a friend or relative who is having a health issue, they may appreciate a healthy snack. We can provide “Ready-To-Go” bags, that are pre-picked, rinsed, sorted, bagged, and refrigerated. The size is the large bucket, which is a generous two and a half quarts. The price is $25, which is only $10 more and includes all the prep work! Contact us for orders HERE, or by Facebook private message.
Blueberries Freeze Well
Fresh or frozen, blueberries are delicious. If you spread them on a cookie sheet and “pre-freeze” them for a few hours before you package them into a freezer bag, the berries remain separated. This is great when you want to get a small amount out of the freezer at a time for a snack.
Pick days this week are Tuesday, June 25, Thursday June 27, and Sunday June 30th. Times are: morning 7:00 – 11:00AM and evening 5:00 – 9:00PM. We are open rain or shine.
