You can make any morning a “special holiday morning” with blueberries. It’s a sneaky way to make the season slow down and last a little bit longer. Elevate the status of “normal” days with festive fare. It can be as easy as adding blueberries to your oatmeal or cereal, or baking blueberry pancakes or muffins. You can use frozen blueberries straight from the freezer with no thawing! You literally just add them into the oatmeal or the batter frozen and then cook it. Muffins are especially cheery and keep well for those that work the night-shift or just sleep really late.
Little helpers?
Some kids love to help cook and this may be a good project they can help you with. Muffins are designed to be a little “rustic”, so if they end up being lopsided or uneven, its just fine. If your kids aren’t familiar with what a muffin is, you may want to call them breakfast-cupcakes, because that just sounds like a party.

If you really want to speed this up, buy some ready-made plain muffin mix and just add in your wholesome frozen blueberries that you hand-picked. Then only talk about how good they are, not how quickly you made them.
